Aster College offers career-focused beauty programs designed to prepare students for the professional beauty industry. Our programs include Esthetics, Nail Technology, and Cosmetology, with hands-on training and practical experience to help students develop the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to succeed in their chosen field.
In addition to our beauty programs, Aster Career offers educational and professional development opportunities, including TOEFL preparation, U.S. Citizenship preparation, and Business & Marketing training.
Whether your goal is to build a career in the beauty industry, improve your English skills, prepare for the TOEFL, pursue U.S. citizenship, or develop your business and marketing skills, Aster is here to support you on your educational journey.
To enroll at Aster College, students must:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Have successfully completed 10th grade
- Have a valid Social Security Number (SSN)
- USA ID (Passport, Driver’s License, SC ID or other)
- Proof of address
Our Admissions Team will guide you through the enrollment process and help you understand the documentation required to begin your program.
All of our programs meet the required training hours established by the South Carolina Board:
- Esthetics: 450 hours
- Nail Technology: 300 hours
- Cosmetology: 1,500 hours
- TOEFL: 6 Months
- Citizenship: 3 Months
- Business and Marketing: 2 years
Our goal is to provide the required education while giving students meaningful hands-on experience throughout their training.
The main difference is the scope of services and training.
Esthetics focuses primarily on skin care and beauty treatments, including facials, hair removal, skincare treatments, and other specialized esthetic services.
Cosmetology provides a broader beauty education that includes hair, skin, and nails, preparing students for a wider range of beauty services and career opportunities.
If you are passionate about skincare and wellness, Esthetics may be the right choice for you. If you want to work across multiple areas of the beauty industry, Cosmetology offers a more comprehensive path.
At Aster College, students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real clients as part of their practical training.
During your training, you will have the opportunity to put the knowledge and techniques learned in the classroom into practice in our student spa/clinic, always under the supervision and guidance of licensed instructors.
This experience helps students build technical skills, confidence, professionalism, and client communication skills before entering the beauty industry.

No! Prior beauty-industry experience is not required.
